Summer Reading

So I leave for vacation (Somewhere random in the outer banks) in less than a week! I'm looking forward to lots of beach time, which means lots of reading. Now while I'm perfectly happy indulging in my most recent obsession, Twilight, I'm almost done the series so I thought I might need another book to read. Okay, so you know you are a shopaholic when..... you go in looking for one book & and really want to buy like seven. So I settled for my top three favorites & they are all really good as far as I can tell, I would recommend reading them. They are all fashion-industry based & super informative. You can learn a lot about your own style by practicing it, but reading is so helpful too, it lets you experience so much more than what you just see on the Internet or on fashion blogs for that matter. I hope everyone is having a lovely summer & likes the books just as much as I do.

So I started off with I ♥ Your Style by Amanda Brooks
This book goes through a lot & has a lot of great pictures. It covers everything from Definable Style to Indefinable Style to Shopping.

Then I finally settled on The Little Dictionary of Fashion by Christian Dior
I thought this would be helpful always. He basically defines the most important terms in fashion & definitely a must-have if you are inspiring to have a career in the fashion industry.

So I was really proud of myself for leaving with two books, not seven, but then I was walking by a bookshelf when I saw Style A to Zoe by Rachel Zoe. Rachel Zoe is pretty much one of the reasons I ever decided I wanted a career in fashion in the first place, so that was my excuse for getting it & of course I love it. It generally covers everything in fashion & glamour & of course lots of Red Carpet Moments .

Happy reading,

Christina ♥
