Black & White is the New Black
This fall has been absolutley crazy so far, thus why I have not blogged in what feels like forever, which I intend on working on. Sometimes in life we need that simple simplicity, that deep breath, or 1/2 an hour of yoga. I find myself envying those who carry that simplicity as their style. That is my ultimate goal, to one day be effortlessly chic. So I recently have become obsessed with Yves Saint Laurent. I adore 2010's fall and spring collection like Brad (whom regrettably is no longer with our dearly loved Rachel Zoe, but I'm looking forward to see what he does with his career) loves bow ties.
Amongest the circus that has become my life it is great to see something that is so simple yet so amazing.
Just a little observation of fall in general: People tend to throw on just about any color they desire, because it is a transition season into winter (whose color pallete is very distinct). Honeslty it makes my head hurt. It could just be because going to a public high school full of rich kids they tend to think they are the exception ( example a. drugs & drinking ) & love to stand out. But personally I think something being in black and/or white, with a pop of color on ocassion, is the definition of chic.
So enough with this "(insert color here) is the new black" Black & White Is The New Black

Blogger's Block
I Have A Severe Case Of Blogger's Block
What is even the point? No one is reading this anyways?
Why should I continue to stress over posting something that no one will read?
Then again Why is the sky blue? Why are my nails pink? Why will I never get the Valentino shoes I want so sososo badly?
Probably because it was just meant to be that way.
This is when I usually ponder ..... What would Coco Chanel do?
Come to think of it most likely she would tear down the curtains and make a dress that is timelessly beautiful & in return feel better about herself. However, I kinda like my curtains where they are.
Maybe I should just stop trying to hard. I should want to post things, not have to force myself to. I need to let go. Have more fun. Make a few horrible fashion choices. Wear shoes that kill my feet. Fearlessly wear red lipstick & Most importantly Live It Up.

Summer Reading
So I leave for vacation (Somewhere random in the outer banks) in less than a week! I'm looking forward to lots of beach time, which means lots of reading. Now while I'm perfectly happy indulging in my most recent obsession, Twilight, I'm almost done the series so I thought I might need another book to read. Okay, so you know you are a shopaholic when..... you go in looking for one book & and really want to buy like seven. So I settled for my top three favorites & they are all really good as far as I can tell, I would recommend reading them. They are all fashion-industry based & super informative. You can learn a lot about your own style by practicing it, but reading is so helpful too, it lets you experience so much more than what you just see on the Internet or on fashion blogs for that matter. I hope everyone is having a lovely summer & likes the books just as much as I do.
So I started off with I ♥ Your Style by Amanda Brooks
This book goes through a lot & has a lot of great pictures. It covers everything from Definable Style to Indefinable Style to Shopping.

Then I finally settled on The Little Dictionary of Fashion by Christian Dior
I thought this would be helpful always. He basically defines the most important terms in fashion & definitely a must-have if you are inspiring to have a career in the fashion industry.

So I was really proud of myself for leaving with two books, not seven, but then I was walking by a bookshelf when I saw Style A to Zoe by Rachel Zoe. Rachel Zoe is pretty much one of the reasons I ever decided I wanted a career in fashion in the first place, so that was my excuse for getting it & of course I love it. It generally covers everything in fashion & glamour & of course lots of Red Carpet Moments .

Happy reading,
Christina ♥

Fendi Spring/Summer 2010
Who knew that Coming undone could look so incredibly good? So I have been watching a lot of spring/summer 2010 fashion shows and for some reason this one really stuck out to me. I've been thinking about it a lot. I wasn't sure I liked it at first but I really do like the whole concept. The transparent shoes to the unraveled clothing & pastels, it was all really whimsical and I've decided I love it, hope you do too.
(If the Video doesn't work here's the link.... http://www.style.com/video/fashion-shows-by-season/spring-2010-rtw/39115860001/fendi-spring-2010-rtw/42405802001 )
I'm pretty sure i'm in love with these shoes, I really really want them.

I thought this bag was cute too, especially for spring/summer.

Can Karl Lagerfeld ever really send anything ugly down the runway? No of course not he's simply amazing.
Love Always,
Christina ♥

“It is unforgiveable to do what one doesn’t love" - Christian Dior
I’m Back! So I’ve got a little distracted in the past few months, but it is now summer & I found my way back. To be perfectly honest I was a little lost & desperately needed a GPS. I was not happy what so ever, and not inspired to write about anything. But everything is good now and I have lots to share. So here is an Update!
I have some really exciting news actually. For starters….. I will be going to Rome, Pompeii, Sicily, Palermo, Catania, Calabria, & then to some places in Greece I really cannot spell next summer! This will be my first time ever going somewhere as amazing & will definitely blog often!
Also this summer (Okay, this isn’t as exciting) I will be going on vacation & to Disney World for some of it, and of course Cinderella’s castle, where the idea for this blog came about (Idk if I ever really explained that before, so that is a story to come soon).
& This is just depressing, but the fashion & design program was cut from my school so therefore I’m on a mission to find something to replace that this summer, actually I really should look into a sketching class or something, since that is most definitely not my forte.
So I hope that everyone is having a lovely summer & I’ll post back soon (Idk if that was the correct blog-analogy for I will blog again soon I promise?) & It won’t be a long random rant about my life :)
Love always,
Christina ♥

Update!
So I've been super boring lately and have not been posting as often as promised, so for that I am really sorry. School has been absolutely crazy but I'm really going to try and get better. I actually did have something already to post but then my laptop turned off... therefor the post being lost :(
But it's okay! I found probably the best and by far the most helpful website ever! It's called Polyvore and I highly recommend it to everyone!
It has a lot to offer, you have to check it out. It's my new best friend. My fave part is that you can ask any question having to do with fashion or beauty and pretty quickly get responses. I love it! So I thought i would quickly share before I go off and study. you can use the link below to get there or click on the Polyvore things to the left. More posts to come really soon & I really do promise this time

Bright red lips over Super high heels in love ♥
I AM IN LOVE. Like as in head over heels, or in this case bright red lips over super high heels. So I pretty much love a lot of things, my style I would have to say is a little all over the place. I don't have any one particular category for myself style wise, except maybe a lovely fashion addict. Anyways, I have recently fallen in love with a collection that seems to be my style all in one. If I had to portray myself perfectly I'd want to be the girl Christian Dior was designing for this Spring. The collection is amazing, at first glance it reminded me of mermaids, but as I researched more & more (again I credit google)I came to realize I love it all♥ Hope you do toooo
These are just a few of my favorites

P.s. I know its been forever since I've posted I'm so frustratingly busy (except for today which was cold, rainy, and miserable. I want summer ASAP)but I am trying super hard to make more time. Now I'm off to Ulta!!! YAY!!! I love makeup (I'm inspired to find bright red lipstick now)

Bouquet a la Spring
So after some in depth & intense research (aka Google) I have concluded that flowers are most definitely a trend for Spring. So many designers have used floral patterns in their designs. So I found some of my absolute favorite flower items for Spring. Although I kill pretty much every single plant I touch, I think that there will be lots of colorful flowers in my closet this year, because no one can ever have too many outfit options right?
Love love love these shoes sooo cute, a totally different way to do floral

Stella McCartney made this dress, adorable for spring, and its obvious when you see her collection you don't need to sacrifice animals for fashion.
And then of course there is the visionary Marc Jacobs who does floral in a totally different way but still love it!

Of course it wouldn't be a trend unless Chanel had it on their runway

This is a really cool dress by a designer named Erdem, it looks like a really pretty dress from afar but up close its a freakin masterpiece

Christian Dior did flowers on the runway too........

All Affordable Florals!

These are actually all hair accessories in this picture from Anthropologie ( Favorite store ever, yes I realize I maybe a little obsessed)... considering the following is also from Anthro.)

For the extremely daring fashion forward darling there is always this head band.

I'm in love with this necklace , I'm not positive if it is flowers, but I'm pretty sure it got some inspiration from plant life.

I personally like this sweater, but not so sure if its for the 80 degree spring weather we've been having recently

This tank top unfortunately falls in second to my finale, but still it's cute

This tank top is my latest obsession, I'm pretty sure they have one sorta like this at American eagle too.
